no comment

this is my final post for the night, and guess what it is, Bombora!!!! plus all the wood i cut for the winter in the background. anyway, i am realizing that there are more pictures of my dog on here, than my students, and that is not intentional, just that i haven't taken my camera into class yet. i have enough trouble keeping their attention as it is. but, just as a real blog type diary note, i am loving my kids at school, they are great. they seriously keep me going everyday, even when they are crazy. why? because i know i was crazy in highschool, and i know i still am a bit, so we get along pretty well. bombora fits into that catagory pretty well too. so, in conclusion, more to come in probably about 2 months when i will have the internet again, and sorry my blog is terrible. but, like the address says, i love you.

HI hi hi!!!! I am at Selma's house and we are missing you! It was such a blast to see your smiling face in the pics. We think you look cute, but Bombora really stole our hearts. We ate pasta tonight. Selma cooked for me. She put tuna in the pasta sauce. I think you will like it ... we'll cook it for you when you come home! We want to ask you a favor. Will you ask your host mom where she got that vest? We both want one. Looks like a good teacher outfit for us. Keeps the torso warm, you know. Your hair looks good too. Where do you have it cut? By the way, I am trying to be brave like you. My students are teaching me phrases in Russian and Romanian right now. I am pretty good at "hi" and great at "yes" "no" and "thank you." However, I can't say "you're welcome" for the life of me! They laugh every time! So you are awesome and brave learning a tough new language! I love you oodles! I should keep this comment short and write you another real letter soon!

note from Selma:

Erik!
We miss you! You are looking very slavic in those pictures... Jokes aside, I am so impressed with you. Bombora is bootiful - you must bring her home with you. When I lived in Sarajevo we had a mut just like her, and she was the best dog ever (after Heirborne, of course). Hope you are eating well and keeping warm. Do you need anything that Graham and I can send for you via Mercy Corps' office in Tbilisi? Don't hesitate to let us know. Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2008. We'll keep checking your blog - it rocks!!!
Teach on!
Selma

P.S. Your sister is a rock star of a teacher!

This picture is awesome, i can't believe you cut all that wood. Your dog is sweet, I hope you bring it home with you so i actually have a reason to hang out with you; other than your awesomeness. Don't worry about spelling and being an english teacher, they don't need to go hand in hand. I can't spell either, but then again i never became a teacher. any whose, I hope your enjoying the hell out of Georgia. I'll most likely post again before you check this...in two months, so yeah....

(it'll say tweet, but it's Jason from morris house {of last year})

Erik! I saw your dad today in Downtown Portland and he sent me to your blog. Lucky me!
I love your photos, love to hear about Georgia, love your dog, and love you.
Hope you're having a great time! I'll keep checking back to see if you write more.
Love you friend,
Maureen
